They also all come standard with fork, a headset, seat clamp, and replaceable stainless steel dropout inserts. This frame is perhaps the most eager ever produced in the MASH line as a result of fine tuning the geometry for race specifics.Īll Cinelli Mash frames come with a drillable front fork for mounting a road brake caliper. Cinelli has used the Columbus Airplane (Supersection oversized shape) 7005-T6 aluminum tubing on this frame, super fast and responsive. As with the MASH Histogram, the parallax has a tapered head tube with a Columbus 1 1/8 to 1.5 carbon fork for match, offering the same benefits of responsiveness and better cornering capabilities than any other.

Thorough research and field testing with the MASH team has gone into the development of this frame to make it the best race bike for street or track that MASH has ever offered. This was introduced as Cinelli’s quintessential criterium track frame. Last year the Cinelli Mash Parallax was introduced. Of course, all the benefits of snappiness and a responsiveness of the Columbus tubing are carried over to the new 2015 model. This design makes the already agile MASH Histogram more responsive and with better cornering capabilities than ever before. This tapered head tube comes with a Columbus 1 1/8 to 1.5 carbon fork for match.
Cinelli mash parallax complete bike upgrade#
For example, the new 2015 histogram pictured below offers the benefits of a tapered head tube, a massive upgrade from the previous year’s model. I can vouch for this as well, having ridden a number of them myself. It may appear that Cinelli simply applies different color schemes to the Mash and Mash Histogram framesets from year to year or from model to model, but as Cinelli reiterates this is far from the truth. I've had this problem with some other bikes. The Cinelli Mash has made a well deserved name for itself in the fixed gear market in their years of production. I've heard there can be big issues with heels rubbing the chain stays. I'm hoping I can get 25mm Gatorskins to fit. I'll be throwing on 2014 Mavic Ellipse wheels. I LOVE the idea of the short wheelbase, super-quick-handling geometry, but is the wheelbase too short for a really tall rider? 58cm is the tallest frame Cinelli makes, but we all know those numbers are only a guide and the overall geometry is more important than just the size.
Cinelli mash parallax complete bike plus#
I'll likely use a compact drop bar because the brake hoods will stretch me out a little, plus it'll give me control. I KNOW I'm looking at a track bike which does just the opposite, but I figure a 120mm stem +6 degrees should get me in a good position. My Calfee Bamboo has its own purposes!īecause I'm riding in Manhattan traffic, a more upright position is mandatory. I have a single speed steel Serotta for more comfy city rides, a cool commuter bike with fenders for crappy weather, and a custom Seven Evergreen for "outside the City" rides. I'll be riding in Manhattan, and this will be my "I want to fly" bike. This puts me in a relatively upright position, and I like that for city riding.

My other single speed bikes have around 58cm c2c seat tubes, 58cm top tubes, 170mm cranks, 120mm stem +6 degrees, 42cm width drop bars.

I'm really tall (6'4" - 36" inseam - 36" sleeves - my torso is proportioned to my legs - 190 pounds). I'm looking for feedback from current owners, and if you're REALLLLLLY tall, that helps me even more. I LOVE the graphics on the 2014-15 white models, and if the bike "does" what I need it to, I'm sure I can find a leftover somewhere. I'm strongly considering a Cinelli Mash Parallax. I need another bike!! The bike in the pic is NOT mine, I just wanted to share what the bike I like might be.
